She doesn’t tend to memorize spells that protect her personally, except the occasional shield or mage armor when she has an inkling that she will come under fire.

Fey has always been competitive, which is how she caught Xelios’ eye in the first place. She was one of his better students, quick to argue, and more often than not with a clever reply. Though focusing on a specialty other than Evocation, she still respected Xelios for his booksmarts.
